Teaching
As an educator…
my goal within the classroom is to cultivate an environment of patience, understanding, and boldness in which students can take risks and explore their creativity. I believe that connection and kindness – both to others and to oneself – are integral components of the things we seek to create.
Though most of my professional and academic training has focused on performance, some of my proudest accomplishments have happened far from the stage. I’ve prepared and led classes and workshops. I’ve worked with students of all ages from vastly different backgrounds. I’ve researched and written about psychology and physiology in the context of performance. Now, in the beginning stages of my career, I am ecstatic about opportunities to deepen my experience in these aspects of theatre.
